1927 Kissel Roadster for Sale
1927 Kissel Roadster with a "boat tail" rear end. If you are looking for a car with an impressive history, look no further. Kissels were built in Hartford, WI, between 1908 and 1931. Amelia Earhart, Al Jolson, Jack Dempsey and Fatty Arbuckle all drove Kissels. Marketed as 'The Custom Car,' each Kissel was ordered from the factory with a choice of: Pancake, drum or bullet headlights; one, two or three bumper bars; running boards or step brackets; leather or fabric upholstery; side or rear mounted spare wheels; golf bag brackets; and rear seat placement. Fritz Werner, design engineer for the Kissel Motor Company, was the first owner of this vehicle and his grandson owned it years after that! Powered by a Model 55 six cylinder Kissel engine that was cast and built at the Kissel Factory in Hartford Wisconsin, and backed by a 3 speed manual transmission. This roadster has had a boat tail rear end treatment added many years ago and maintains many of the original Kissel parts. Original Edison spark plugs, Werner gear company vacuum fuel pump, dual side mounts, original engine crank, original Boyce Motometer radiator cap that says "Kissel Kar", original Kissel headlights, and original Kissel wood steering wheel with wrench to remove wheel nut. The two tone Tan paint job and Brown interior look classy, and the Bright Red spoked Kissel wheels scream sports car! This car is truly a piece of history and and is located in our Chicago Showroom, which can be reached at 708-444-4488 for additional information.
