Original color of desert rose paint is bright and shiny, (also known as woodland rose and dusty rose) quite rare, body has been repainted, roof is original white/cream paint. Very clean with little to no rust, except minimal areas along trunk edge inside the lip, etc. Otherwise, no visible rust at all. A few very small knicks, or small chips here and there, but not noticeable. Champagne colored Interior is in very good shape, carpet is in okay shape, but is not a perfect match for color. The car was in the Hunt Valley Car Show in the Spring of 08.
Approx 125,000 original miles on the car. 365 Cu in V8. Runs great, starts easily, especially once warmed up. Power seats, power windows (all four windows), power antenna, 4 nearly new whitewall radials, recent new brakes, custom car cover, new mpt24 Interstate battery, exhaust work done in 2002, as well new gas shocks, front stabilizers, rear axle seals, manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, water pump, re-cored radiator in 2006, ignition work in 2006, complete repair receipts for past 8 yrs or so.
She is a beauty, a very special Cad and a great year for collecting. The 1957 was the only year with forward swept tail fins, as well the first year with rubber tipped "bumper bullets" or Dagmars" for the truly classic name for this design detail. It is a wonderful, solid 54 year old car that has been garage kept almost it's entire life from what I can tell. This is Cadillac's "little sporty model" for '57, but it is a lot of car, a lot of steel, a lot of chrome! Great road ride.
Original 1957 Cadillac Coupe deVille owners manual, as well a copy of the 1957 Cadillac shop manual, specifications manual, and a 1949-1970 Cadillac Parts and Supplies Catalog.
